Nomination Criteria

  1. To be eligible, an athlete must have participated in athletics while attending St. Scholastica Academy.
  2. The candidate must have graduated from St. Scholastica Academy a minimum of five (5) year prior to her nomination.
  3. The candidate must, have exemplified the four pillars, of prayer, work, study and community, during and following her career.
  4. The selection committee will use the following achievements as "guidelines”for selection purposes:
    1. Competed on a district/state champion team or competed in a state tournament as an individual or
    2. was on a team that qualified for state competition or earned a letter in more than one sport, earned a MVP award in a selected sport, or
    3. was voted to an all state team or an all district team or was a statistical leader or a record holder in a selected sport.

St. Scholastica Academy is a Catholic, all-girls, college-preparatory high school located in Covington, Louisiana. Founded in 1903, SSA perpetuates the Benedictine tradition of balancing prayer, work, study, and community in developing adolescent girls into Christian women grounded in the Gospel values of the Catholic faith. St. Scholastica Academy is a Catholic girls high school of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. As such it admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities available to students at its schools. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, or athletic and other school-administered programs.
