Message from Head of School

Welcome to St. Scholastica Academy!

As Head of School, it is both an honor and a blessing to welcome you to St. Scholastica Academy. At SSA, we are more than an all-girls Catholic high school. We are a sisterhood rooted in faith, tradition, and love. Guided by the Benedictine pillars of prayer, work, study, and community, we are committed to forming confident, compassionate young women who are prepared to lead, serve, and make a difference in the world.

St. Scholastica Academy is more than the school where I work—it is the place where I grew up, deepened my faith, formed lifelong relationships, and learned the values that continue to guide me today. As a proud member of the Class of 2004, leading this community is an honor, a privilege, and deeply meaningful to me.

Every day, I am reminded of what makes SSA so special. Our students are encouraged to discover their strengths, use their voices, challenge themselves, and embrace new opportunities. They are supported by dedicated faculty and staff who know them personally, care about their success, and encourage them to become the women God created them to be.

One of the things I cherish most about SSA is the sense of belonging that exists on our campus. Whether you are a student, parent, alumna, faculty member, or friend of the Academy, you become part of a family that cares deeply for one another. It is a place where young women are known, supported, and loved.

Our patroness, St. Scholastica, reminds us that we can "do more because we love more." Those words continue to guide our mission as we strive to cultivate a community marked by faith, excellence, service, and genuine care for others.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about St. Scholastica Academy. I invite you to explore our website, visit our campus, and discover what makes this community so special. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve this remarkable Academy and look forward to welcoming you to our SSA family.

In the Spirit of St. Scholastica,

Carol Ann C. Dufrene, ‘04
Head of School
