Laptops

Please refer to the requirements below when purchasing a laptop for your daughter.

Apple and Windows laptops are supported.
Chromebooks are not supported.

Apple Laptop Requirements:
  • MacBook, MacBook Air, or MacBook Pro model compatible with the latest version of the Mac operating system, macOS 14 Sonoma.

  • To determine what version of the Mac operating system your MacBook is running, follow Apple’s instructions here.
  • Student MacBooks not running the latest version of the Mac operating system should be upgraded following Apple’s instructions here.
Windows Laptop Requirements:
  • Windows 11
  • 128 GB SSD or higher
  • 8 GB RAM or higher
  • Minimum battery life of 6 hours
Software Requirements:
St. Scholastica Academy is a Catholic, all-girls, college-preparatory high school located in Covington, Louisiana. Founded in 1903, SSA perpetuates the Benedictine tradition of balancing prayer, work, study, and community in developing adolescent girls into Christian women grounded in the Gospel values of the Catholic faith. St. Scholastica Academy is a Catholic girls high school of the Archdiocese of New Orleans.
