Monique is a 1988 graduate of the Academy and is a Dove parent as well.  Her daughter, Kaitlyn, graduated in 2017.  Since 2012 Monique has been a member of the SSA School Board, and in the 2015-2016 school year, she served as President. Having worked as a member of the Capital Campaign Committee, Monique is an ardent supporter of SSA.

Monique obtained her B.A. in Political Science from Baylor University in 1991 after only three years of college enrollment. In 1994 she received her Juris Doctor from LSU. She began work before taking the bar exam and has practiced law continuously for the last 23 years.

Monique is passionate about encouraging and elevating women in their varied chosen endeavors. In 2009, along with three other women and one man, she formed the largest majority woman-owned law firm in New Orleans. She has been the managing partner of that firm since 2009. The firm has grown from 13 attorneys to 30 and now has offices in both New Orleans and Houston. In addition to managing the administrative aspects of the firm, Monique is a trial lawyer often called upon by clients such as DuPont, Ford Motor Company, and Chevron to head their legal teams in courtrooms across the country.

Monique met her husband, Michael, in law school and they have been married for 23 years. In addition to their daughter, Kaitlyn, who is a freshman at Savannah College of Art & Design, they have a son, Alex, who is a St. Paul's alum and in his third year at LSU.

Monique has been committed to supporting SSA because she credits much of her personal contentment and career success to the firm foundation acquired during her years at SSA.
